“The Art Kartel” presents a multi-generational community of artists who challenge the conventions of live performance by producing original art-work for & to NYC’s residents, visitors & tourists alike.
Established in December 2012, “The Art Kartel” was created as a necessity by its founder Badder Israel, to provide an outlet, but not just any outlet, this unique outlet would be established from just a dream to a psychical being, Creating artistic atmospheric harmony for himself, but more importantly other brilliant artist alike. Israel searched hoping to find the best of the best, to help formulate his ideal & vision. Essentially this “ideal” would be based in five essential elements carving life and expression of human sense. Its looking forward, creating that pure artistic atmosphere, where one can explore new and innovative ways of creating & expressing art, presenting all outcomes to the public and their peers. A grand place where artists can innovate and improve upon new concepts of art, and use an exhibition space and platform to showcase new and veteran talent(s).

The official members of “The Art Kartel” provide a home base for all freedom of expression. Live canvas painting, live body painting, live tattooing, live graffiti art, sneakers, Finger nail artist/technicians, make-up shows, to classic black book battles & dance are just some of the creative ways the founding members have put together this unique outlet. All backed by its resident and celebrity guest DJ’s bridging all cultural, traditional & Non-traditional musical gaps. Supplying our clientele with no concept of space nor time. Basically in a nutshell, “The Art Kartel” has become an escape for artist, art fans & party goers from the hustle and bustle of boxed in city life & the working man(s)/woman(s) regular 9-5 work sched, and if that wasn’t enough, Its all topped off with the most delicious & tasty BBQ delectable’s catered by our partner & celebrity chef “Hood Chef” along with his company & team “4 fun.”
Similar to human life, the most important elements for survival are: Earth, Air, Water, Fire, with a dash of Love. The artistic harmony of “The Art Kartel” needs full expression for survival, and it was all coming together as visioned. We create & form the “electricity” to activate artistic energy. Everyone is but only an unlit match that needs only a slight spark to set their existing world on fire. We start as a team & company by providing waves of inspiration to set all humans adrift, and stimulate the senses that provide the “IT” moments, a moment that represents the appreciation of that experience touching and creating the artist in all of us.

Our mission as “The Art Kartel” is to provide the creative platform that teaches & unites artists of all forms, providing a unified space, while creating harmony, love, and respect all in the name of the arts, While culminating a definitive melting pot for the imagination.

This team effort has quickly been recognized by a number of other talents, Celebs & Taste Makers throughout New York City dubbin our home “the artists place to be.” In the few months that “The Art Kartel” has been active as a company, we have used the “brand” to work alongside mainstream veteran artist such as Fabolous, Wakka Flaka, Jeru Da Damaja, Juju of the Legendary Beatnuts, Vibe Magazine editor Bonsu Tompson, Celebrity Attorney Anthony Arther, and Alexzandra, & Puma of VH1’s #1 rated reality show Black Ink. We have also partnered up with The Harlem Art Fund, NYRP, & Ms. Bette Middler, Community 54, Hip-Hop USA and our regular party host, artist-on-the-rise Hood Chef. These events done strategically have brought us Brand awareness via. word of mouth and has given our Brand “The Art Kartel” legs of its own, enabling us to have the “It Factor” & be talked about from NYC to overseas generating a fan base on its own.
